Corporate Technology (CT) provides the IT platform for Deutsche Bank Infrastructure, comprising Finance, Treasury, Risk Legal & Compliance and Reference Data. With an annual budget of around €500m, Corporate Technology is at the forefront of Regulatory Change and provides Group-wide infrastructure to support a wide range of critical business functions.

Corporate Technology is undertaking a range of challenging and stimulating programmes, including strategic transformation of Finance (the Stride programme), Treasury (the TIGAr programme) and Credit Risk (the Craft programme). We are offering a unique opportunity to be part of the team that is shaping this transformation and implementing a large array of career defining change with interesting technology and working with a high performing team.

Treasury Technology is a new Function within Corporate Technology that drives the change agenda for Group Treasury and parts of Finance. Treasury Technology is developing a large suite of new applications, many of them governed by TIGAr, one of Deutsche Bank's Top 20 programmes. This portfolio of change, whilst also generating significant revenue for DB, is primarily Regulatory driven - enabling a range of critical disclosures for Liquidity, Funding, Capital and Collateral. Much of this infrastructure is supporting daily processes and Regulatory disclosures and therefore demands a step-change in application functionality, reporting and data sourcing.

Treasury Technology manage a portfolio of applications covering a range of Treasury Functions including Liquidity Risk Management, Asset Liability Management, Funds Transfer Pricing and Portfolio Management.

Job Overview & Typical Profile

Job Overview:

Deutsche Bank is looking for an experienced, motivated and ambitious Senior Oracle Developer to own the Oracle platform for the Liquidity Reporting Application. This is a hands on development role requiring strong technical skills, but mentoring / leadership of other Oracle developers is required. You will be comfortable:

* Working with the business and business analysts to understand core functional and non-functional requirements;
* Working with the Solution Architect to agree the solution design;
* Leading Oracle Developers

Typical Profile

To be successful you should be expected to have professional software development experience; ideally working as a Senior / Lead Oracle developer on significant technology initiatives across complex organizations.

You should have a career history which demonstrates a track record of successful delivery balancing a structured approach with pragmatism. They should be a hands-on developer, able to command the respect of the development team by demonstrating strong applied knowledge. They should be able to demonstrate an approach which appropriately balances time to market, quality and cost.

You should be comfortable in leading complex discussions across technology and business SMEs and pushing towards clear and documented solutions.

Prior experience working for a major global Investment Bank (ideally within a Treasury function) would be a major advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

* Understand the programme of work and current state technical landscape within Treasury
* Accountable for the physical data model and code quality within the Oracle database
* Accountable for ensuring that the software delivered meets functional and non-functional requirements
* Accountable for ensuring that the software delivered adheres to the architectural specifications
* Accountable for the maintainability of solutions and ensuring that refactoring is appropriately prioritized alongside new requirements.
* Collaborate with architects and developers to deliver component designs
* Provide technical direction to the Oracle development team
* Define, agree and enforce Oracle development standards
* Facilitate high level estimating and release planning
* Mentor/Educate more junior/offshore team members
* Occasional Travel to visit offshore resources may be required

Responsibilities

Education / Qualifications:

* Degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent certification and/or relevant work experience)

Development Experience

Relevant Experience in the following areas:

* Experience in IT delivery including experience as an Senior / Lead Developer
* Strong relational modelling and physical database design skills
* Strong database tuning skills
* Applied knowledge of reporting data model design including Kimball
* Previous experience delivering high volume reporting applications

Technical Experience

Mandatory Skills:

* Oracle Exadata
* Experience working in an Agile based team - ideally Scrum

Desirable Skills:

* Understanding of Java
* Business intelligence Tools (ideally Oracle BI and / or SAP Business Objects)

Industry / Domain Experience

Hands-on knowledge of enterprise technology platforms supporting the Finance, Risk and Treasury domains would be a significant advantage. For example:

* Knowledge of the Finance/controlling domain and end-to-end workflow for a banking & trading businesses
* Knowledge of Credit Risk, Market Risk and the use of quantitative algorithms to calculate probabilities
* Knowledge of Treasury: liquidity, funding, capital and collateral; and their management in a large financial institution
* Knowledge of the investment banking, sales & trading, asset management and similar industries is a strong advantage

Clear Thought & Leadership:

* A mindset built on simplicity
* Proficiency to talk in functional and data terms to clients, embedded architects and senior managers
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment with competing and alternating priorities with a constant focus on delivery
* Logical & structured approach to problem-solving in both near-term (tactical) and mid-long term (strategic) horizons

Communication:

* Can drive change recommendations, and define detailed agenda's to enable the fulfillment of best practice process
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Strong influencing and leadership skills
* This role would be the most senior Oracle resource on the team and would need to be able to mentor / influence more junior members of the team
