Job Description

Your Key Responsibilities Would Include:

* Consult customers in all questions related to network architecture
* Leading audits of customer networks, identifying and interpreting KPIs and derive actions for network optimization
* Create high- and low-level designs for customer networks including detailed documentation
* Create test plans for customer trials, proofs of concepts, migrations and other network configuration changes
* Develop concepts and work out detailed procedures for the execution of network configurations, services creation, network optimizations and migrations
* Support Infinera Sales and Services in selling network solutions, in particular transformation solutions from TDM networks to packet optical networks
* Support Infinera Service Experts in solving complex network problems

Education & Experience Necessary For Success:

* BS degree or equivalent
* Strong experience in the design of transport networks, from TDM, metro-, long haul optical to packet optical
* Solid experience in using optical design tools to design and verify optical network performances
* Thorough understanding and experience of layer 2 switching protocols such as VLAN VPN and MPLS-TP
* Understanding general IP routing principles and systems management.
* Expertise in Ethernet/IP technologies. Certifications (CCNP, CCIE, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE) are recommended
* Knowledge in Mobile Backhaul Core networks
* Hands-on experience of configuring and supporting optical equipment with Craft/WebGUI, CLI, TL1 and NMS solutions.
* Excellent presentation skills
* Understanding customer needs and must be able to convince customers to follow specific designs, blue prints
* Flexibility to adapt in a dynamic environment with frequently changing opportunities
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team, lead and influence staff and subcontractors, including the ability to work with people from all levels of the organization.
