Responsibilities

The Senior Network Automation Engineer is responsible for design, deployment and management of global network monitoring, automation and management solutions. This position has global reach and requires the skills to work effectively in an enterprise environment servicing both internal and external clients. Incumbent's responsibilities span use of major COTS tools for large enterprises, including HPOV/NNMi, CA Spectrum, NetQoS/CAPC, NetMRI, NetBrain, SiteScope, Splunk, Cisco Prime, SevOne, EMC SMARTS, as well as custom scripts. Global Network Operations support a large number of business units including On-Air broadcast networks and TV stations, internal application server farms, cutting edge enterprise data centers servicing proxy and web hosting environments and external facing 3rd party vendors. Interpersonal communication and a proactive nature will be key in successfully fulfilling this role. This role is a senior operational extension of the different network engineering teams and will work closely with these teams in design, deployment and support activities as well as ensuring proper instrumentation and management, documentation, training and hand offs are completed as engineering projects transition to operations.

Qualifications/Requirements

Expert level knowledge of COTS solutions for major enterprises for network monitoring, automation and management.

In depth experience with scripting technologies. Emphasis on network monitoring and automation.

Strong project management, documentation, organizational and communication skills are required.

Experience in virtualization technologies, Cisco ACI, AWS, Azure, SDN, SDWAN a strong plus.

Senior level industry certifications in networking, security and other relevant domains are preferred.

Bachelor of Science degree required

Minimum of 5 years engineering experience in global enterprise required, media company experience preferred
