Job Description

SUMMARY: The Senior Manager User Experience (UX/UI) Design professional to lead and guide our UX design team in developing highly innovative, usable, and engaging platform and digital experiences. This hands-on role contributes to the processes of product discovery, design and development. The Senior Manager works closely with product managers and strategists to create quality, device-agnostic user experiences and interfaces.

* Advocates for the user while ensuring that the experience meets marketing goals in a consistent and/or appropriate way, regardless of the property being addressed;
* Leads the project start to finish with the collaboration of the creative director, stakeholder, and developer;
* Delivers strong wireframe/prototype to high-end UI well-optimized visual solution;
* Uses data and observation to understand our users, and to develop insights into improvements for user experience and flow. Utilizes A/B testing to present design solutions;
* Researches and analyzes industry UX/UI trends and competitor sites and strategies;
* Keeps up to date with the latest web design technologies and techniques in order to discuss them for inclusion within our website creations;
* Provides recommendations on needed standards or other opportunities to ensure work across multiple streams fits brand guidelines and provides a consistent user experience
* Understands the balance of user experience, business need, and time-to-market, and recommends tradeoffs where appropriate;
* HTML and CSS. You don't need to be a web developer, but you'll need to talk and prototype designs to pass off to the web team.
* Works with insights and analytics to develop and promote recommendations for user experience improvements within a project or stream;

Requirements MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree AND
* Five (5) years' experience with website promotion creation/placement/management AND
* Two (2) years' experience running A/B testing campaigns (Optimizely, Adobe Test & Target) OR
* Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: None required.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Experience using Adobe Creative Suite applications including Photoshop and Illustrator
* Extensive knowledge with SEO best practices
* Knowledge of User Experience (UX) and Usability best practices
* Good knowledge of user experience, site usability requirements, and an overall great design sense
* Strong time management and organizational skills. Attention to detail is absolutely critical
* Excellent collaboration and team-building skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Knowledge of Web authoring tools and coding languages such as html, CSS, and JavaScript
* Working knowledge of publishing with content management systems (Drupal, AEM, WordPress, etc.)
* Knowledge of project management tools like JIRA
* Working knowledge of Web Analytics, including dashboards and reports
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
