Job Description

TITLE:Senior Manager, Software DevelopmentLOCATION:6380 South Fiddler's Green Circle, Greenwood Village, CO 80111JOB SUMMARY:Overseeing the development, testing and support of Digital Video Recording (DVR) and Pay Per View (PPV) software functionality. Ensure code quality throughout software development lifecycle and track all software code versions through releases in production. Review and analyze processes and tools to ensure business needs are met. Collaborate with product managers, software delivery managers and operations to review DVR and PPV issues and provide recommendations for improvements. Participate in feature architecture and design phases and identify and address technical deficits. Collaborate with product owners to understand business needs and expectations. Prepare project proposals and develop project plans, schedules and budgets. Use NoSQL based systems including Cassandra and MongoDB within a relational and non-relational database environment. Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation plan to overcome technical challenges. Review service automation test and production triage reports. Manage software, code, tools, upgrades, service deployment and version control in development testing environments. Support troubleshooting of production and launch gating issues. Utilize Amazon Web Services (AWS), Restful, and Micro-Services for implementing Charter's software onto Set-Top-Box (STB) and IP devices, including telephones, tablets, XBox and Roku. Utilize Ready API, Parasoft, Postman Client and Test NG in Restful service automation and development. Perform software development within cable domain including DVR, PPV, STB Interaction applications and Video On Demand (VoD). Perform programming using Java and C; use Scrum and Kanban within Agile methodology; and work within a Service-Oriented and Microservice architecture environment. Use Linux operating system for deployments and scripting tools. Work within a management capacity overseeing software developers and testers.

EDUCATION/

REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, and 5 years of: software development experience within cable domain; utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS), Restful, and Micro-Services for implementing and configuring Set-Top-Box (STB) and IP devices, including telephones, tablets, XBox and Roku; and utilizing one of the following: Ready API, Parasoft, Postman Client or Test NG in Restful service automation and development. 2 years of management experience overseeing software developers and testers and software development experience including DVR, PPV, STB Interaction applications and VOD.
