The Job Details are as follows:

The Senior Manager, Project Management will serve as a hands-on leader of clinical project management, supporting the clinical development team's head of program management. The Senior Manager will be expected to support and manage complex projects and timelines in a matrix environment, as well as ensure program milestones are well communicated, tracked and met. As a pharma, biotech, clinical research organization, the ideal candidate will offer their expertise as it relates to project management across all phases of drug development.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

* Support the development and execution of high quality, integrated cross-functional plans for the program/project/study
* Participate in or oversee project/study team meetings as applicable and ensure meeting minutes are finalized and filed and information is communicated to the larger team as appropriate
* Manage cross-functional development teams, as assigned, by overseeing deliverables to support program objectives; identifying risks, supporting the development of risk mitigation plans, and escalating risks and risk mitigation as appropriate
* Escalate issues in a timely fashion
* Keep current with industry trends to ensure best industry practices and high-quality project management
* Assist with training/mentoring of junior staff, as applicable
* Proactively assess and implement process improvements and efficiencies

Minimum Requirements:

* BA/BS required
* Minimum 7 years in either pharmaceutical, biotech, or clinical research organization industry with at least 5 years in project management


* Advanced knowledge of all phases of drug development, of the functions and processes relevant to drug development, and project management principles applicable to the biopharmaceutical environment
* Strong leadership and management skills
* Superb communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to effectively lead cross-functional teams while maximizing teamwork and synergy
* A deep understanding and discipline in the application of project management protocols


* Excellent written and verbal communication skills required


* Commitment to the creation of a collaborative and supportive work environment with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
* Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
* Ability to effectively present information to senior management and to cross functional teams
* Strong background in GxPs and ICH requirements
* Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Software suite and other relevant packages
* Proficient in Microsoft Project and/or Smartsheet

Other Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

* Degree in life science strongly preferred
* PMP certification a plus
* Experience managing direct reports
* Experience in clinical development and late phase drug development is strongly preferred
* Excellent cross-functional negotiating skills
* Ability to effectively coach team members
* Ability to effectively influence key stakeholders outside of the team
