As a Senior Manager of People Technology you will be an essential part of the team that supports People Operations and the business in a strategic and hands-on role assisting in creating a high-performing organization and people experience. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively with executives, front line managers and employees globally across a wide variety of topics in a rapidly scaling environment.

As a Senior Manager of People Technology at Snowflake you will:

* Lead the planning and execution of People Systems and Technology enhancements, including technology selection, implementation, new functionality configuration, end-user experience, security, system integration, process improvement, project requirements/design documentation, and production support strategy
* Champion the DevOps discipline to People Systems teams through the following-
* Understand business leadership goals and critical timeframes
* Develop strategies and timelines for system improvements and support
* Document functional and technical design requirements
* Resource workload with an emphasis on team member career growth,
* Achieve QA via a combination of test-driven development, clear unit testing requirements, and end-user UAT
* Deploy successfully the first time by respecting a practical release process which includes operational handoff, definition of support responsibilities, and training
* Foster a culture of teamwork by encouraging the use of collaboration tools such as instant messaging, video conferencing, project management, documentation, cloud office suite, operational metrics dashboards, software development repositories
* Keep People Systems teams on track by adhering to a consistent scrum cycle and provide clear, transparent communication about mid-cycle priority changes
* Listen to feedback from the team as well as customers and adjust to find common ground
* Assist auxiliary technical users with understanding the relevant business processes, security/confidentiality concerns, and proper application API usage of People Systems and Technology
* Mentor junior team members by understanding their career goals, suggesting study topics, working one on one to develop fundamental skills, and resourcing workload in a way that keeps the individual engaged

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required. Master's degree a plus
* Minimum of 10+ years experience in People Technology
* Minimum of 2-5+ years people management experience with a demonstrated background in leading a People Technology team
* Expert level experience with HR Technology required with expertise in the following; Workday, ATS, Benefits, Compensation, Learning, Reporting tools, Office Suite mastery and other People applications
* Must be able to understand business goals and recommend People Technology approaches and procedures to effect continuous and measurable improvement
* Experienced in leading on a variety of activities including: development of workflows, integrations and custom code, technical feasibility testing on use case scenarios and user acceptance testing
* Strong project management skills and proven organizational skills and the ability to succeed in a fast paced environment
* Comfort managing up and across the organization, with strong credibility and ability to influence leaders and teams; excellent collaboration skills
* Ability to be comfortable with fast paced operations and not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves"
