Lumedic, an affiliate of Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH), is hiring a Senior Development Manager to lead engineering efforts for our blockchain-based Revcycle Platform as we scale our engineering efforts and execute on our vision. This role will be a hands-on leadership role working with teams in our Seattle office as well as two other development centers. With just our current customer base, your work has the potential to impact millions of lives to streamline how care delivered and managed. Responsibilities for the position include:

* Institute and implement software development standards and processes along with best practices for delivery of scalable and high-quality software (coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, CI, TDD, unit testing, and operations)
* Ensure a set of development practices are followed to assure scalability, quality and long-term health of the platforms the team owns.
* Play an active role helping to architect, design and build systems that streamline, automate and enable business processes.
* Partner to ensure the operation support of the platform is reliable, responsive and manageable.
* Recommend alternative technical and business approaches and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.
* Lead with passion and conviction and inspire others. Drive your team to innovate and deliver roadmap features with agility and quality.
* Coach, train and guide development of software engineering staff.
* Represent technical feasibility, risks, effort and other feedback during design reviews. Work with Product teams to ensure features and goals align to business goals.
* Collaborate effectively with all team members as well as hold regular team meetings.
* Build team through hiring talented engineers, both locally and remotely.

Required qualifications for this position include:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
* 5 years of experience as a software developer
* 5 years of people management experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

* Experience with OOD and object-oriented languages
* Strong experience with backend software development
* Experience leading multiple engineering teams
* Knowledge of cloud platforms, server virtualization, server hardware and operation systems, networking and storage subsystems
* Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proven track record of building and managing high performing engineering teams
* Strong people management and mentorship skills
* Established expertise in developer tools and software development lifecycle systems (continuous integration, version control, source code repositories, build systems, package management, deployment tools, test frameworks, etc.)
