The Blockgraph imitative is an incubation effort driven by Comcast's FreeWheel division, aimed at establishing the first ever industry-wide identity layer for the media, TV and video ecosystem.

BlockGraph is hiring an Engineering Manager in New York City to help build our technology platform from the ground up.

Blockgraph is a decentralized identity and insights platform built using distributed systems and blockchain technology. We have been featured in Business Insider, AdWeek, AdExchanger, and CoinTelegraph among others. We are working with the biggest names in media, TV and advertising and are only getting started.

About the Role:

* Lead a team of talented engineers
* Spearhead the design and development of a massively scaled, cloud native P2P platform
* Oversee and contribute to projects while maintaining deep technical knowledge
* Serve as a point of escalation for making technical decisions
* Partner with Product Management and other development teams to build world class software solutions
* Contribute to BlockGraph's long-term strategy of peer to peer computing and decentralization
* Drive optimization, testing, and tooling to improve the performance, availability, and scalability of the platform
* Mentor junior team members

Requirements for the position:

* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or similar field of study
* 8+ years of software engineering experience building micro-service applications in AWS (or a similar cloud)
* Managed high performance team
* Excellent programming skills in one of the following: Java, Golang, C++
* Experience in SQL and NoSQL Databases
* Experience in streaming technologies like kafka/kinesis
* Excellent data structures and algorithms skills
* Understanding and knowledge of modern security tools, development patterns, and best practices
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to present complex topics effectively
* Strong analytical thinking skills and results driven personality

Optional

* Experience in blockchain technology or cryptography
* Experience in microservices/orchestration
* Experience in CI/CD (Jenkins) and Terraform
* Experience, interest or industry knowledge of advertising technology e.g. ad servers, SSPs, DSPs, DMPs etc.
