Senior Learning Management System Administrator

George Mason University, Information Technology Services (ITS) - located on the Fairfax, Va., campus-invites applications for a Senior Learning Management System Administrator position within the Learning Support Services, Online Learning Resources team. Responsibilities include:

Learning Support Services (LSS) of Information Technology Services (ITS) fosters and supports the George Mason community in the use of technology for teaching and learning. LSS is seeking a Senior Learning Management System Administrator to join its Online Learning Resources (OLR) Team. The successful candidate's responsibilities will include providing support to faculty, students and staff using the campus LMS and its integrated educational tools, serving as an internal expert for LMS Admins and Instructional Technologists, developing and delivering training workshops, and advising the OLR Manager on recommendations system enhancements.

Required Qualifications:

* Demonstrated professional work experience providing user support and administration for learning management systems (highest priority given to those with experience in Blackboard) in an academic setting;
* Demonstrated ability working with users, creating training materials, and facilitating workshops;
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment; and
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.



Preferred Qualifications:

* Working knowledge of multiple Learning Management Systems and a range of instructional technologies;
* Experience supporting synchronous learning management systems (highest priority given to those with experience in Blackboard Collaborate);
* Ability to communicate and collaborate well with technical staff, software support staff and vendors; and
* Demonstrated problem solving skills and attention to detail.
