Position Description:

CGI is looking for an experienced developer looking to grow their skills on a large agency account team. The project is a Service Oriented Architecture-based network that handles the exchange of data between government and its stakeholders (states, tribes, municipalities, private industry). The program builds, operates, and maintains this network and is responsible for building the data flows and applications that operate on and integrate on the network. In this role, you will be developing software to support e-Reporting Permit Services and Architecture. You'll be contributing on a geographically dispersed cross-functional team utilizing Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework to develop on cadence and release on demand.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

* Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software. Troubleshoot production problems related to software applications.
* Research, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
* Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
* Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
* Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
* Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration, and testing tools.
* Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
* Participates in code reviews, daily scrums, and other Agile development ceremonies.
* Mentors and assists junior developers with coding strategies.
* Interacts directly with clients, translating complex technical concepts into understandable terms

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

* Expertise in Java EE / Maven / Jetty / Apache 9
* Proficiency in JavaScript / Bootstrap 3 or 4 / Stripes / JSTL / JSP
* Experience with jQuery including DataTables
* In-depth knowledge of Oracle Databases / SQL
* Experience with Angular.js including d3.js
* Experienced in Agile development methodologies and tools including JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, and Bitbucket
* Comfortable mentoring junior developers as part of a larger project effort
* Strong communication skills, able to translate functional requirements into technical terms and simply technical discussion for a non-technical audience.
* Consulting experience
* Knowledge of the full software life cycle
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline
