Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

The Integration/EDI lead developer works with the business analysts and business stakeholders of the various healthcare programs & projects in order to understand the business requirements that drive the implementation of EDI or clinical interface technical solutions.

The Integration/EDI lead implements and maintains interface technical solutions that enable the organization to achieve its integrations goals. Reports to the Data Integration and Operations Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides oversight to a team of onsite and offsite developers for design, development, implementation and maintenance of EDI and HL7 solutions.

Participates in on-call rotations.

Leads and coordinates development work to ensure it aligns to the business and technical requirements.

Provides application development services for support and projects that align to SDLC, organizational governance policies, and industry best practices.

Collaborates with technical and business teams to define unit testing scenarios and scripts in alignment with business and system requirements.

Ensures application development deliverables are completed on time, budget, and quality.

Demonstrates leadership qualities through team motivation, coaching, and mentoring.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business discipline or equivalent experience.

At least 3 years hands on experience creating and maintaining interface applications in a hospital or healthcare related industry.

Experience working with project life cycle and project management methodologies desired. PMP certification is a plus.

Strong working knowledge of one or more data integration middleware products and/or technologies such as Rhapsody, ConnectR, Cloverleaf, Biztalk etc.

Experience working with HL7, HIPAA transactions sets 837,835 and EDI engines highly desired.
