We are seeking a talented individual to fill a role as an Infrastructure Platform Engineer II. Responsibilities include engineering, design and selection of infrastructure solutions to meet both IT and business needs. This individual will work within the Infrastructure Platform Engineering team and apply the necessary technical expertise to adequately document and transition engineering designs, for consumption by other parts of the organization. Partnership with multiple teams to guide companywide projects will be required. Additionally this individual will help guide and train other team members in their technology area of expertise.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Engineer solutions across three or more areas of infrastructure technology, including but not limited to Active Directory, database, big data, operating systems, hardware, and middleware.
* Provide initial system design for new projects based on technical requirements across one or more infrastructure disciplines.
* Assist the advanced architecture team with technology selection. Includes leading proof of concept activities, and presentations for enterprise level solutions to business, IT, and/or clients.
* Evaluate existing system architectures, and make recommendations as required.
* Communicate technologies, systems architecture, and standards to technical staff.
* Liaise with vendors, business partners, and IT personnel for understanding problem and providing solution/resolution.
* Assist in establishing standards for performance metrics, capacity planning and systems tuning.
* Help mentor and cross train other team members and other IT Infrastructure resources in technology areas of expertise.
* Establish and enforce standard processes, for handling requests coming from within IT and from our business constituents.
* Provide expertise and consultation in infrastructure technologies to other IT Infrastructure groups.

* Average manual dexterity work in use of a PC, phone, sorting, filing and other office machines.
* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and fluently in English.
* Travel as needed to remote office locations for training, implementation, and/or planning
* Ability to analyze information and use logic and process to address work-related issues and problems.
* Ability to troubleshoot with a group and be an active participant during large technology conversations.
* Ability to be careful and thorough about detail.
* Ability to function effectively under pressure and deadline oriented project demands as well as manage multiple initiatives.

* Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
* Ability to organize well.
* Ability to perform oral presentations with good quality.

* Ability to troubleshoot existing applications.

* Ability to work proficiently with Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Working knowledge of HIPAA privacy and Security rules.

Work Conditions and Physical Demands:

* Primarily sedentary work in a general office environment
* Ability to communicate and exchange information
* Ability to comprehend and interpret documents and data
* May require occasional standing, walking, lifting, and moving objects (up to 50 lbs.)
* Requires manual dexterity to use computer, telephone and peripherals
* May be required to work extended hours for special business needs
* May be required to travel at least 20% of time based on business needs; at times on short notice

Minimum Education:

* B.S. in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum Related Work Experience:

* 5 yrs Solutions and systems design experience as a SME/Lead
* 5 yrs System documentation experience
* 8 yrs System Administration experience in a Linux, Windows, Cloud environments
* 8 yrs experience with backup and storage hardware/software
* 8 yrs of enterprise IT tools and enterprise IT team experience
* 3 yrs of scripting/development for automation (bash, Korn, Perl, Power) or use of automation products
* Project technical leadership
* Demonstrated server/hardware experience with HP, IBM, and/or Cisco products
* Basic knowledge of networking and TCP/IP
* Experience with working with various database clients (JDBC/SQL) to support application functionality.
* Modify systems to be more stable for data handling, deployments, and application requirements
* Documenting policies, procedures and systems architecture
