Overview

Do you want to be part of the next generation solution development? The Solution Incubation team which is part of Zebra's CTO is responsible for establishing together with customers, new edge technologies that will become part of Zebra's Solution Portfolio. Whether it is new sense technology or analytics at the edge or workflow applications, our team is bringing all of those aspects together with our customers input and designing it to make a difference at the edge of their operations. Democratization of the data at the edge is something we really care about and through the use of the Internet of Things and Enterprise Asset Intelligence we will provide our customers the real-time visibility they need to improve their operations.

The new member will be exposed to advanced sensing and software technologies like computer vision, speech recognition, location technologies, data streaming technologies, Machine Learning, Docker, Kubernetes, and many more.

Responsibilities

Working within a cross functional, Agile working environment, the full-stack developer is responsible for hands on development. This candidate will have a sound knowledge of Java, Spring, NoSQL, SQL and be prepared to work on a variety of new technologies as required during the development of new solutions. Experience with Android development is required and ideally the candidate has also developed Web Browser based applications. The candidate should be self-motivated and should have the drive to work on rapidly changing requirements to meet end user needs.

Qualifications

* 5+ years of production software development experience
* Ability to work across product teams in a cross functional environment with various roles
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Actively identifies issues and raises impediments, finds solution to blockers and helps resolve technical issues in time to help achieve goals.
* Experience in successfully delivering products into production and understands MVP concepts
* Ability to prototype quickly and keen on delivering proof of concept with creative solutions
* Agile knowledge and experience is a plus

Technical Experience:

* 5+ Years of working experience with Java
* 1+ Years of working experience with Android development
* 1+ Years of working experience with HTML, JavaScript and UI frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)
* Working knowledge of Java Web Applications in Client Server environment.
* Working knowledge of Jersey, JSON, Spring or comparable libraries and frameworks
* Working knowledge of building compelling full stack applications.
* Strong interest in product development and building extensible frameworks.
* Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, PostgreSQL is a benefit
* Knowledge of NoSQL systems, MongoDB is a benefit
* Continuously improve, refine and refactor the code.
