POSITION OVERVIEW

Full-stack engineers at b8ta have: (1) developed an interactive retail signage application used 1.6 million times every month; (2) developed computer vision technologies to collect store traffic data from thousands of cameras across nearly 80 retail locations; (3) completed backend integrations with Fortune 500 retailers and other service providers which yield over 1,000,000 queries per month; and (4) built an e-commerce platform from the ground-up, with multi-store fulfillment and fraud detection capabilities.

REQUIREMENTS

* At least 3 to 5 years of industry experience in software engineering.
* Enjoy working in weekly development cycles, where you are likely to ship code many times per week.
* Enjoy shifting between systems and technologies to ensure you are always working on high-impact projects.
* Enjoy being a generalist, with a willingness to work on both frontend and backend.
* Ability to leave your ego behind as you collaborate with software engineers, product managers, designers, and end users.
* Work effectively without close management supervision.
* Top-notch communication skills.

* Scrum methodologies
* Ruby, JavaScript (React & React Native), and NGINX
* Cloud technologies (e.g. GCP, AWS)
* Containerization frameworks (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
