We are looking for someone who is motivated to build truly great web applications to be our team's lead frontend engineer. The apps we build are used by Splunk's sales & customer success organizations and our partners to help prospects and customers understand the value they can derive from Splunk, and provide actionable plans to achieve this. These apps have a measurable effect on Splunk's bottom line.

Your Responsibilities:

* Create amazing applications in a modern single-page JavaScript framework (React).
* Collaborate with UI experts and designers to implement responsive interfaces across multiple platforms, including web and mobile.
* Build close relationships with teammates, product managers, and quality engineers.
* Break down feature requests into actionable plans and assist when needed with the creation and execution of test plans.
* Put your head together with key architects and managers to establish and implement standard methodologies for delivery of high quality software.
* Continually strive to improve the efficiency and capabilities of the full-stack developers in your team.
* Ensure development projects fulfill business requirements and delight end-users.
* Engage in hands-on, in-depth analysis, review, design, development and debugging of your applications.
* Lead your team to UI greatness!

Requirements:

* 8 years of web application development, with 2+ years of professional experience developing single-page applications.
* Hybrid web/mobile experience a bonus.
* Expert-level knowledge of HTML and CSS.
* Familiarity with interacting with Restful APIs.
* Experience with single-page application frameworks and web design industry standards.
* Impeccable attention to detail.
* Proven ability to pick up new technologies and concepts quickly, coupled with an unending desire to learn and improve.
* Strive to work in a team-first, collaborative environment.
* Experience working on cross-browser, multi-device applications.
* Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
* Eager to teach and mentor others inside and outside of your immediate team.
* Proven track record of developing web applications, from inception to delivery.
* Highly self-motivated and disciplined.
* Appreciation and understanding of usability standards.
* Familiarity with Jira, Git and agile development methodology a big plus.

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (CS, HCI, Design, etc)
