EVERFI is looking for talented Senior Front End Developers to join our team. If you have significant experience writing custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (React) we could use you! Our ideal candidate will have expertise writing semantic, modular, accessible front end code using HTML5, CSS3, and React/Redux. Understanding of the concepts of progressive enhancement, responsive design, and future friendly design highly encouraged. All of this happens in an agile environment where we release every two weeks.

Additional requirements include:

* 6+ years of Front End experience on a software development team
* Work independently and collaboratively with other software engineers on cross-team projects
* Strong understanding of fundamental programming concepts like object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures
* Ability to identify and architect reusable components for varied use-cases
* Ability to dig into existing architecture and frameworks
* Familiarity with ES6/2015+ and other newer JavaScript features
* Fundamental understanding of HTTP, AJAX and REST
* General understanding of CSS, such as positioning, inline vs. block elements, etc.
* Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
* Familiarity with JavaScript Unit Testing such as Karma, Jest, etc.
* Experience in performance optimization using tools such as YSlow or PageSpeed

Preferred Skills:

* Experience with React and Redux highly preferred, but other modern component libraries like Vue or Angular are OK as well
* Familiarity with Redux/Flux architecture preferred
* Familiarity with JSON-API a plus
* Experience mentoring other developers preferred
* Any experience with Backbone and/or Handlebars.js a plus
* Contributions to Open Source projects on GitHub a plus
