Job Description

Physical Optics Corporation currently has number of large as well as medium size military/government contracts that continue growing in technology development, technology transition to production and productions. Most of these programs address next generation airborne systems, such as flight data recorders, advanced data transfer systems, and mission computer systems for military aircraft. Additional growth areas include ground systems, encryption, electronic warfare, and X-Ray inspection systems. POC is headquartered in Torrance, CA.

To support current and future growth, POC is seeking a Senior Engineering Program Lead to join with a great opportunity for career growth either in technical field or technical management. The Senior Engineering Program Lead will lead group of engineers to manage programs that will involve planning, requirement analysis, interacting with POC business development as well as critical customers. In addition, there would be an opportunity to run a technical group or directorate including managing POC's strategic programs and lead a team of engineers. The selected candidate will report directly to the Corporate VP, Corporate Operations and the person will also have an opportunity to participate in POC mentor program.

Key Responsibilities:

* Will have an opportunity to lead the programs in exciting technical areas including current and future programs.
* Will engage with the customer with the responsibility of fostering and further developing customer relations with dynamic customers.
* Will have an extended role to play in providing technical leadership on ongoing critical corporate programs.
* Will have an opportunity to grow in providing technical leadership role to support business development and critical customer support.

Experience Guidelines:

* BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is desired.
* Up to 3 years Avionics/Airborne program engineering experience is desired.
