We're looking for a Senior Back-End engineer to help us build the next iteration of our core customer data platform, which links together all the systems that interact with our customers every day. Build the next-generation operational solution for customer identity management across all of Nordstrom's brands. This is the system that powers customer interactions on N.com, Hautelook, Trunkclub, in the Nordstrom stores, and online. Build the solution that ties together customer contact and cross-organizational identity to power shopping experiences, Nordy Club, Credit, Marketing, and more. Design and implement highly scalable restful web services and event streams to serve our enterprise wide customer needs.

A day in the life…

* Lead technical design, develop, install, test and maintain highly scalable data management systems for our customer core services
* Develop modern, large scale RESTful Micro Services for use by internal teams in a fast paced Retail environment to support customer profile components.
* Responsibility as lead tackling challenging architectural solutions and driving engineering best practices
* Build for performance, security, reliability, and fault tolerance
* Drive the next iteration of api semantics - build elegant, robust, simple solutions to complex problems

You own this if you have…

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Engineering


* 5+ years professional experience in practice area


* Java / Spring Boot service architecture and implementation
* MongoDB experience preferred
* Kafka experienced preffered
* AWS stack - Cloudfront, SQS, EC2, etc
