Role Summary:

The Program Manager within the Measurement & Sensing organization will be responsible for the successful execution of projects and/or programs of significant business impact to ensure the financial and customer requirements are met. This position will also be responsible for driving significant improvements in overall execution and rigor across multiple operational areas of the organization

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

* Partner with Product Management to clearly establish and communicate product requirements, business goals and customer requirements


* Complete detailed planning and create deterministic project schedules across all functions


* Demonstrate strong project management rigor and drive project activities to ensure on-schedule and on-cost delivery


* Managing full cross-functional teams with authority to drive a culture of accountability of all team members and self


* Assess and proactively manage requirements, resources, risks, project budgets and product cost and develop & implement mitigation plans where appropriate


* Present program updates, strategies and recommendations to senior leaders, stakeholders, team members and customer


* Identify high impact areas for continuous improvement through project lessons learned


* Implement methodologies and process improvements and influence the adoption across organizational and functional boundaries



Qualifications/Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) from an accredited university or college


* Minimum of 8 years of experience leading technical new product development teams comprised of multi-disciplined engineering teams



Desired Characteristics:

* Deep understanding and demonstrated application of Program Management concepts, approaches and methodologies


* Expertise with Microsoft Project software or equivalent


* Self-Starter with high energy level and positive attitude


* Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills


* Ability to anticipate events and develop adaptive strategies/remedies


* Ability to lead and influence others without alienation, in a geo-dispersed matrix organization


* Strong problem-solving skills


* Sense of urgency when dealing with issues and tasks


* Solid business and financial acumen


* Strong team leadership and team building skills


* Able to work well under pressure


* PMP Certification a plus
