Job Responsibilities

The Sr. Development Engineer provides technical guidance and oversight to a small group that designs, develops, maintains and troubleshoots web and desktop applications within the Alliance Enterprise technology stack. This Lead is a member of our enterprise development team and will provide technical leadership. This individual will also be tasked with being an active developer in the group, configuring, coding, developing, maintaining, updating and documenting applications in an Agile (SCRUM) development environment. This person will report to the Director IT, Engineering Services who oversees this area.

Specific duties includes, but are not limited to:

* Provide technical leadership to a development team.
* Provide high-level development estimates for planning/budgeting.
* Work with Enterprise Architect to design compliant solutions.
* Design, develop an support solutions using .NET Framework.
* Maintain and enhance existing SQL/SRS applications.
* Support & develop WCF/SOAP web services within the Alliance enterprise.
* Optimize processes in order to reduce ongoing IT Support costs.
* Review, evaluate and provide feedback.
* Troubleshoot IT related application issues.

Position Requirements

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science is preferred.
* 3-7+ years' experience as a Team Lead or Project Manager required.
* web development in .NET Framework 2.0+ required.
* Proficient in ASP.NET, C#, ADO.NET, HTML/XHTML, CSS, XML, SQL, WCF, WPF/XAML, web development in .NET Framework 2.0+ required.
* Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) preferred.
* Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) preferred.
* Hortonworks Data Flow Certified NiFi Architect (HDFCNA) preferred
* SalesForce Data Certification preferred.
* TOGAF Certification preferred.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
* Exposure to MVC 2.0+, AJAX and SQL/Objects, JavaScript, JQuery, Data Analytics, HTML, CSS preferred.
* Strong SQL Query knowledge.
* Solid OO design and development concepts.
* Understanding of Unit/Integration Testing. Be able to create and execute test plans, data, and remediation plans.
* Relational database design concepts.
* Microsoft Office expertise.
* Leadership/team building experience.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Ability to mentor and coach.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience in an AGILE development environment.
* Ability to "think outside the box" on solutions.
* Solid understanding of Windows OS and Networking Concepts.
