In this position you will:
* Partner with development teams to design and manage CI/CD pipelines * Manage Kubernetes clusters with a mix of stateful and stateless applications * Manage AWS infrastructure * Design highly available fault tolerant systems and put it to the test with chaos engineering experiments * Collect data to give teams complete visibility into application deployments and performance * Obsessively look to automate/improve current processes * Work with development teams to troubleshoot environment issues * Experiment with cutting edge technologies to find new ways of solving problems
Required Skills:
* Hands on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet * Strong background in infrastructure as code using Terraform * Working knowledge of the AWS stack * Experience in containerizing applications using Docker * Hands on experience with Kubernetes and Helm * Experience with CICD tools such as Gitlab CI, Jenkins or Spinnaker * Comfortable with Git and familiar with the Gitflow process * Strong development background, experience with at least one scripting language * Ability to solve ambiguous problems with little to no direction
Desired Skills:
* Background in Linux/Unix Administration * Experience with tracing micro-services with Jaeger * Monitoring experience with Prometheus and Grafana * Working knowledge of service meshes using Istio or Linkerd * Hands on experience with Kubernetes Stateful Sets and Portworx * Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases * Production support experience * AWS certification
