Job Description
Position Summary
Determine best technical solutions and support to satisfy NYU IT's functional and business requirements. Define requirements for installing and improving related systems and determine appropriate timing for implementation of system modifications or upgrades. Document systems design, create specification, flow charts, and other related diagrams based on user or system design specifications. Analyze data and desired end results to develop testing and conversion plans.
Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's degree Preferred Education:Relevant courses (systems analysis, database systems, Java, web programming)Required Experience:5 years of experience with designing and implementing systems including any of the following: managing security, quality assurance, and training operations for large-scale complex computing systems, client/server, and web-based environments, large scale call management/trouble ticketing systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Experience:
Experience with security administration for related systems and applications (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle Workflow, etc.), and supporting mainframe systems.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of HTTP, REST, and API design best practices. Understanding of event-driven architectures. Understanding of asynchronous programming concepts. Knowledge of modern web design (CSS, HTML, etc), Javascript, Angular.js, and ServiceNow Service Portal.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:ServiceNow Chat, Digital Accessibility, Custom Application Development in ServiceNow, Github, other source code repos etc.
