Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer

Reporting To: Director of Engineering

Department: Engineering

Location: San Francisco, CA

Your Mission

We are seeking a Principal Data Warehouse Engineer in our Ads Engineering team, empowering cutting edge mobile advertising technologies to create the next generation of our Ads Platform.

Responsibilities

* Build automated test framework and tools to automate the Data Platform services and applications.


* Work with the product managers and the team leads to understand the requirements and come up with the relevant test cases and execute them.


* Automate regression test and perform functional, integration and load testing.


* Perform data validity, accuracy and integrity test across different components of the Data Platform.


* Proactively solve problems and suggest process improvements.


* Triage production level issues by analyzing the production logs and work with the development team until the issues are resolved.


* Use SQL queries and analyze log files to test various ETL and data pipelines.


* Provide test case coverage and defect metrics to substantiate release decisions.


* Articulate issues to developers during meetings and particularly in the daily standups.


* Provide technical directions and mentor other engineers.



Player Profile

* Working experience in testing data pipeline.


* 4+ years of experience in software quality engineering.


* Good understanding of big data technologies


* Strong programming knowledge and hands-on experience with Java.


* Hands on experience in CICD tools like Jenkins.


* Experience in working with relational databases such as MySQL,


* Postgres, etc.


* Experience in NoSQL databases like Bigtable, Cassandra, HBase etc.


* Proficient with service automation and automation framework development.


* Ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative development


* environment with short turn-around times.


* Ability to think logically, diagnose/triage.


* Strong communication skills with the ability to understand and


* explain complex technical issues to a non-technical audience.


* BS in Computer Science or Equivalent.



Bonus Points

* Experience in Mobile advertising testing.


* Experience working with AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)


* Understanding of data warehouse concepts.


* Strong experience in stress testing scalable high-volume applications that handle millions of requests.
