Job Description

Description

ForgeRock® rocks when others are rolling. We aren't your typical high-tech company and aren't looking for typical people. We look for real people. Whoever you are. Whatever you are. While you play well with others you aren't afraid to be you and let others be themselves. Someone has called you wicked smart before, but you would never refer to yourself that way.

ForgeRock pioneered open source identity and access management, went on to invent identity relationship management for customer identities, and is now busy playing with the identity of things. Yes, we're growing fast, but we remain true to our start up culture. We're decidedly creative, we're always learning, no one hesitates to ask questions, and we're on a never-ending search for new ideas.

Our customers are some of the biggest companies, organizations, and even countries in the world. On any given day, it's likely that the ForgeRock Identity Platform helped keep your data safe, gave you access to stuff, and supported trusted relationships between you, companies and the devices you were using. What we want:

Are you a passionate engineer, with an appetite for learning? Do you believe in the principles of agile software development? Do you prefer to ship code as early as you possibly can; getting code into customer hands and collecting their feedback to help deliver an outstanding solution? You are someone who loves helping your team to fluidly adapt to new requirements and situations as they arise. You are constantly tuning your approach to meet customer needs as efficiently and quickly as possible.

This role is responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross-functional teams. You are an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys, and is excited by, data systems and building them from the ground up. You will support our software developers, database architects, data analysts and data scientists on data initiatives and will ensure that an optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. You should be disciplined and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products.

What this role looks like to us:

Attend the daily team stand up, collaborate with fellow engineers solving challenging problems, and perform code reviews. Depending on the tasks, you might need to engage with the product, one of the other engineering teams or executive management to provide guidance and help steer them. You will have the flexibility to work on tasks that you or the team has assigned to you or to pair up to collaborate on a complex issue. Other times, you and some of the team will need to spike to look into the incorporation of some innovative functionality, either as a public or dark feature.

In addition to the daily efforts, here are some additional areas that we would like covered:

* Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
* Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
* Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and Google/AWS technologies.
* Build analytics tools and API's that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
* Work with partners including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
* Keep our data separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple data centers and cloud provider regions.
* Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building our product into an innovative industry leader.
* Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.

Have fun:

* Have an impact on customer offerings using your practical experience
* Flexible work schedule with daily team standups
* Work from home or our premier offices located across the globe
* Learn and grow with us in a supportive environment
* Great medical, dental, vision benefits incl. Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
* Other benefits such as: commuter cost reimbursement program, basic life insurance, short & long term disability, Employee Assistance Program that covers employees and family members for a variety of personal or work related challenges
