Job Description

The Sr. Data Analyst ("Analyst") is a Digital media position that requires one to two years of relevant professional experience involving data bases, analytics, coding, business analysis, systems analysis or systems optimization.

Reporting to the Director of Media Analytics and Systems ("the Director") and supporting other members of the Digital Analytics and Systems team, the successful Analyst will identify, measure against, solve for, and implement new or improved process around a variety of operational functions involving analytics and reporting.

The Analyst will manage projects and seek to understand the data and the processes that are part of relevant teams. At any time, the role may involve one or many of the following types of projects: (1) set up a data environment on a cloud; (2) manipulate, process, normalize data; (3) analyze log files; (4) analyze and report on the volume of work and the status of projects that are being worked on (micro and macro); (5) apply measurement to tasks and processes to understand volume and usage; (6) shadow team members to understand process and work flow; (7) any other activity involving platform support and data integrations. The Analyst will identify process break downs, opportunities for improvement in process and work products, all the while working towards solutions to create efficiencies and inform requirements to raise quality or work output to a standard of excellence.

JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:

PRODUCT SUPPORT AND DEVELOPMENT

In support of the goals of the department, implement reporting tools, products, and process. Drive solutions to create automation of manual work where possible. Document processes and work flows.

As needed, support the Digital Analytics team in monitoring and maintaining tools and systems needed to support the company.

MEASUREMENT

Lead identification and measurement of all group processes, systems use, and work output. Create calculations and data flows in DOMO or other tools/platforms.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Responsible for a queue of digital analytics work, ad hoc work, the delegation of that work, and the management of priorities. Identify issues in queue system and make written recommendations for new systems as appropriate. Work with leadership team to contribute to the writing of project plans as needed.

INTERDEPARTMENTAL COLLABORATION

Work with other Departments to identify needs in data environments, data, dashboards, reports, and workflow.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL DEMONSTRATE

* Bachelor's degree
* Minimum 1 year of experience working in cloud based data environments
* Strong problem solving, and follow-through skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, excel proficiency is a must
* Minimum of 1 year of experience working with SQL, R, Python, other database coding, or experience with coding/developing data visualization software
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Strong verbal and written communication ability
