A MITRE project investigating the cyber security of embedded and cyber-physical systems is seeking a junior to mid-level embedded systems engineer
Key Functions:
* Analysis of embedded hardware * Research security of Internet of Things * Build out system architectures for IoT solutions in a lab environment * Conduct information assurance, threat assessments, & analysis * Perform systems security engineering * Recommend use of specific anti-tamper/anti-spoof technologies * Document the results of research and analysis
Required Qualifications:
* Proficiency with working virtual systems * Hands-on experience with underlying technologies relevant to cyber physical systems security * Working knowledge of embedded systems and related real-time operating systems * Familiarity with cyber security concepts and design approaches for embedded systems such as processor architectures * Strong written communications skills * Ability to work in a collaborative, customer-facing environment
Preferred Qualifications (at least 3):
* Experience with computer hardware analysis * Analyzing and debugging embedded hardware * Experience with software analysis * Embedded OS experience * Experience with network protocol analysis * Packet capture and analysis * Experience with software defined radios * Experience with security engineering * Familiar with cryptography and cryptographic protocols a plus * Knowledge of PK-both RSA and ECC based schemes * Awareness of TLS and DTLS * Knowledge of programming languages like (C, C++, Python, etc.) * Knowledge of emerging trends including IoT for critical infrastructure and 5G
