Job Description

Defines requirements and designs and verifies robust architecture, data and information management systems and components. Establishes design constraints and ensures architecture conforms to requirements. Incorporates architecture functions into software development lifecycle. Leads the development and configuration management of architecture views and models. Assesses of feasibility of architecture solutions and alternatives. Performs trade-off analyses. Evaluates products to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments. Drafts data and information management products and service standards. Assess impact of architectural decisions to product lifecycle. Contributes to architecture and data/information management standards and strategies. Boeing Information Technology is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Computing Solution Architect to help design, develop and deploy architectural solutions for Boeing's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. This position will be located in Bellevue, Washington or Renton, Washington. This position will align to the Acquire to Retire value stream, and will focus on designing and implementing solutions for Asset Management and Asset Master Data Management using SAP S/4 Hana. You will also have an opportunity to contribute to Boeing's Internet of Things (IoT) strategy development and implementation. In this role you will have a tremendous opportunity to contribute to the transformation of Boeing's systems and tools supporting our business operations. Our architects are responsible for transforming vision into strategy and developing actionable plans to support delivery of business processes. Responsibilities: Apply principles, theories and concepts to ensure architecture solutions align with requirements. Requires extensive knowledge of IT architecture concepts, standards, tools, techniques and methodologies. Ability to model and analyze data from a computing technical and total business viewpoint, then intergrade into an overall computing system and application systems architecture. Solve complex technical problems through development of forward-looking technical ideas. Must have the ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical requirements. Proficient at building computing systems from a variety of components to provide a business solution, including the ability to integrate application components and databases across computing platforms. Develop the information/data models and services, configuration and build specifications and the implementation plan that will achieve the desired objectives of the system. Ability to identify key tasks and resources needed to achieve objectives. Actively make sure strategies are carried out and monitor results to make adjustments as needed. Leading technical resources to achieve success. This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.). Required Qualifications: The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 1+ year of experience in the Agile software development lifecycle 5+ years of experience with Business Process and/or Services Modeling 5+ years of experience using SAP software Knowledge regarding standard architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or Zachman 1+ year of experience with web application architecture, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) or cloud based development Preferred Qualifications: Experience with design and implementation using SAP S/4 Hana. Experience planning, creating, executing, and documenting master data management and data governance processes Understanding and use of SAP Leonardo The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) certification Experience leading large, geographically diverse, cross-functional teams.
