LocationU.S. - Virginia - Arlington Open Date4/11/2019 JOB DESCRIPTION STG, a wholly owned subsidiary of SOS International LLC (SOSi), is seeking a Senior Computer Security Analyst in Arlington, VA.

Essential Job Duties

The Senior Computer Security Analyst shall:

* perform security audits, evaluations, and risk assessments of complex operational data processing and communications systems;
* conduct security and internal control reviews of sensitive application software intended for or in use;
* conduct specific technical reviews to support non-standard operational requirements;
* support security awareness and training programs through briefings and correspondence/documentation;
* develop draft computer and communications security policies, standards, and guidelines;
* design, develop, and maintain unique computer security tools and techniques for conducting computer and communications security evaluations and risk assessments;
* provide advanced technical computer/ communication security assistance;
* provide expert assistance and recommendations in the fields of trusted computer systems and network to other government agencies;
* interpret national laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines relating to computer and communications security;
* assist in the development of computer and communications security policies that implement national laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines;
* conduct security tests, certifications, and evaluations of applications and systems processing sensitive and/or classified information;
* assist in coordinating with other federal agencies on matters related to the security of shared ADP resources;
* develop requirements and specifications for reviewing/approving the following on the basis of security concerns:
* procurement requests; and
* major system development activities, telecommunications and/or teleprocessing hardware/software, and hardware/software encryption techniques
* provide support to investigations and/or assessments of computer security violations;
* support monitoring the compliance with COMSEC and COMPUSEC policies and requirements through on-site system reviews, evaluations,
* software/hardware subversion testing, and risk assessments; and
* assess technology to ensure that security vulnerabilities are identified and countered.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Requirements

Seven years of experience in computer system design, integration, application development, and computer security. Two years of experience in technical task direction with an emphasis on computer security.

* Operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs; and install security measures
* Handle cyber-threats by applying reactive and proactive measures
* Undertake research, simulate and run penetration tests using publicly available and proprietary tools
* Responsible for developing and maintaining lab environments to evaluate new security threats
* Implement and maintain security controls to upgrade systems
* Identify abnormalities, recognize problems, and report violations
* Maintain industry compliance certifications for the organization
