Job Description

Germanna Community College is seeking to fill the position of Senior Computer Operations Supervisor. We are seeking skilled technician to supervise junior level computer technicians. This position will coordinate with another Operation Supervisor for college wide support. Statement of Duties: The Senior Computer Operations Supervisor is responsible for technical support of all college computer hardware/software including file, print, physical, virtual servers, printers, appliances, workstations and communications devices. The incumbent will work closely with managers and supervisors to ensure that their technical services needs are met for faculty and staff. Additional duties include: ? Provide efficient and expedient technical support facilitating the integration of technology throughout the college and within the Virginia Community College System ? Supervision of first tier technicians and audio visual/media techs. ? Server installations, upgrades, maintenance and operational support computer equipment and their peripherals ? Assist in responding to daily helpdesk needs ? Installation of computer equipment for various staff and classrooms ? Set up and review of system access for all staff and employees Salary Range: $57,000 - $62,000 per year, with full state benefits (state pay practices apply) This position is open until filled. Minimum Qualifications

? Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience ? Experience troubleshooting and repair of computers and their peripherals ? Demonstrated ability to analyze business requirements and design appropriate solutions

Preferred Qualifications

? Knowledge of Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016 operating systems ? Working knowledge of Microsoft Access, SQL, SQR, Crystal Reports, People Tools, Oracle, and HTML ? Linux/Unix and Cat 5/6/ cabling ? Experience managing end user support ? Dell/KACE experience ? Knowledge of Office 365 and VMware ? A+ and/or Network+ certification ? Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with users to provide documentation, training and to troubleshoot problems
