As a Senior Business-Process Architect you are a strategic partner in identifying potential process engineering opportunities. Leading and facilitating cross-functional teams in the application of process engineering principles to design optimized business processes and their overall performance. You will manage multiple initiatives of significant scope and complexity.

What you'll do

* Engage with business stakeholders to identify challenges and objectives
* Apply process engineering and business process modeling notation to help solve business problems
* Shape the vision and lead the team to change processes, systems, and structures to achieve that vision
* Define, design and mature business process architecture for the enterprise
* Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing key views of the enterprise level and system processes
* Leverage business process architecture artifacts to inform and focus strategic conversations with senior leaders
* Demonstrate potential and actual impacts and opportunities for the business to facilitate critical business decisions
* Ensure key dependencies and information of the enterprise business processes are captured, providing recommendations to preserve integrity and ensure the delivery of a holistic, integrated solution
* Partner with the Business and IT architecture teams in developing an IT framework that aligns with the business plan
* Translate enterprise process architecture and roadmaps for Enterprise and Domain Architects as well as other technology leaders
* Provide analytical and conceptual process design throughout the corporate planning and enterprise delivery cycle ensuring alignment of deliverables with strategic objectives
* Oversee the creation and governance of business process architecture artifacts
* Define the capabilities shared between business units in the enterprise and for shared capabilities, show the relationship between them via processes, people and systems
* Utilizes knowledge of Premera business strategies and goals to analyze business processes and determine the best methodology to resolve defects or absorb the change
* Utilize data and metrics to evaluate the maturity of capabilities over time

What you'll bring

* Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, organization development, process engineering or related field or 4 years' work experience
* 10 years' experience managing complex projects with inter-related Systems, Process and Business requirements
* 5 years Business Process Modeling Notation experience
* Lean and agile knowledge and experience is preferred
* Experience working in healthcare is preferred
* Ability to learn and assimilate Premera's current organization, systems, and processes
* Demonstrated ability to effectively lead large, multi-departmental teams to successful achievement of corporate goals
* Excellent research and analytical skills, with ability to identify issues, propose methodological solutions, and conduct and interpret quantitative/qualitative analysis
* Demonstrated organizational skills, decision making skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization and influence others to move toward consensus
* Exceptional communication skills including written, verbal, presentation and ability to create effective visualizations
* Experience modeling business processes using a variety of techniques and tools
* Extensive experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives
