Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will support the Financial Systems team and various other stakeholders across Pattern by designing and publishing reports, data analytics, and informational dashboards for both technical and non-technical end users. The candidate will proactively identify areas for new development or redevelopment of existing reporting functionality to create efficiencies in Pattern's financial and operational activities. Responsible for working within a complex network of data sources and tools, thinking strategically about optimal methods for structuring and presenting data to end users, and putting strategy into action. Responsible for prioritizing and juggling many competing deliverables. The candidate will leverage extensive business intelligence experience with knowledge gained of the company to support business processes and reporting needs of the company.

Key Accountabilties

* Partner with stakeholders including Accounting, Operations, Development, and other teams within Pattern to design, develop, and deliver robust and scalable reporting automation in PowerBI to gain insights from source systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, XRM, Hyperion and other enterprise platforms.
* Develop or redevelop reports, visualizations, workspaces and/or interactive Business Intelligence (BI) reports, tailored to various user groups across Pattern, transforming raw data into actionable insights for various stakeholders within Pattern.
* Learn and understand data architecture in various source systems and data warehouses to enable report design.
* Define reporting requirements and translate requirements into technical specifications.
* Design, develop, and maintain automated, self-service systems/reports/dashboards at-scale.
* Write efficient T-SQL queries against large, complex data sets.
* Establish relationships and coordinate with Pattern technical experts in other business units and the Data Architect.
* Support ad-hoc requests by developing optimized queries and data visualizations.
* Perform other process improvement-related projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience/Qualifications/Education Required

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, or related quantitative/analytical field.
* 3-5 years relevant working experience in a business intelligence and/or data management role. Experience with Microsoft AX, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Hyperion, and/or Microsoft Power BI/SQL is highly preferred.
* Advanced knowledge of Data Warehousing and BI best practices.
* Excellent data analysis skills, including the ability to work with and profile large data sets while giving exceptional attention to detail/accuracy.
* Ability to work effectively within a highly complex organization consisting of many legal entities and operational activities across diverse geographic regions.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express ideas effectively through data or presentation.
* Experience at a large, public company preferred.
* Highly responsible, dependable and proactive with strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
* Passion for renewable energy and supporting Pattern's mission of transitioning the world to renewable energy.
