Our product empowers our compliance and investigations teams to make sure our users are protected from bad actors. We also help product teams make data-driven decisions by analyzing the financial asset movements to/from Coinbase and execute more efficiently.

Our team provides APIs and user interfaces to interact with the blockchain data. We tackle unique and brand new set of challenges laying the groundwork to shape the blockchain analytics space. As cryptocurrencies gain more adoption, incredible potentials of this market is being unlocked.

We dig deep into different blockchain technologies to understand their intricacies and improve our product continuously. You will be responsible for managing huge data pipelines which extracts information from blockchain nodes and other data sources, implementing algorithms to understand the relationships between addresses. By doing so, you will gain hands-on experience with many types of blockchain technologies in depth. This is an incredible learning opportunity in a brand new space.

Responsibilities

* Design and build reliable services to extract information from blockchain nodes and many external sources.
* Understand blockchain technologies such as BTC, LTC, ETH and many others to make sense of the publicly available transaction information by implementing novel methods.
* Work with Investigations, Compliance and various product teams, understand their needs and do quick and effective iterations on the product.
* Build tools for our analysts to help them incorporate external information more effectively.

Requirements

* You have at least 6 years of experience in software engineering.
* You've designed, built, scaled and maintained critical production services.
* You write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.
* You are passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together and recognize that the first step in doing that is bridging the Finance 1.0 world with the Finance 2.0 (our) world

Nice to Haves

* You have experience working with Ruby on Rails, Docker, MongoDB, AWS.
* You have deep theoretical and/or hands-on experience with blockchain.
* You have security engineering experience.
