The Engineering Team serves as the focal point of our organization as all systems go through the department before any solution is offered to our clients.

Summary

Casaplex is looking for an experienced AV Systems Engineer to design systems large and small that meet Casaplex's high standards for usability, reliability and serviceability. Generally, Casaplex systems are fully-integrated and complex, including: network, audio visual, lighting control, communication systems and security (burglar alarm, network cameras, and access control). Systems include complete corporate offices, conference rooms, auditoriums, fitness studios, and high-end smart homes.

The Senior Systems Engineer will work with the sales department, directly with the client, and with project managers to take technology systems projects from inception to completion and client acceptance. Responsible for understanding and enforcing Casaplex standards, the successful candidate should have proficiency in estimating costs including but not limited to labor, project management, field engineering and commissioning.

Responsibilities Include

* Serve as the main point-of-contact for clients during the Design phase of the project and on design-only consulting engagements


* Analyze client needs, interviewing them directly and performing site surveys as appropriate
* Work with vendor partners, leveraging their resources to more efficiently produce system design
* Produce advanced system designs (using AutoCAD) including: control flow diagrams, wire schematics, lighting design drawings, MEP requirements
* Produce Bills of Materials (BOMs) for proposals and installation


* Define functional requirements for control systems programmer


* Define scope of work for Installation phase of the project


* Review designs produced by junior engineering team members for technical accuracy and compliance with Casaplex standards


* Work with other departments to revise and improve Casaplex standard packages


* Read and correctly interpret bid specifications, architectural drawings and schematic drawings


* Exhibit resourcefulness, eagerly researching new technologies


* Effectively coordinate and manage multiple system design projects


* Assist in the development of standard packages



Requirements

* A solid understanding of all systems including Audio/Video, Network, Lighting Control, Security, Access Control, and Control
* Minimum 5 years industry experience in an engineering capacity
* CAD software proficiency


* Audio DSP programming knowledge of major platforms


* Familiarity with current AV technologies


* Familiarity with National Building and Electrical code


* Desire to learn new technologies and applications


* InfoComm CTS, CTS-D preferred
