Job Description

Delivers technical consultancy and develops solutions to enable Cardtronics to provide highly available and secure ATM Software Solutions to our Retail and Financial Institution customers. Incorporates ATM software development & integration, ATM software build creation, production incident management and delivery of project tasks. Provides leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:

Delivers ATM Solutions across our estate of self-service networks, incorporating:

* Lead integration of vendor ATM software with Cardtronics standard ATM software solutions to create Gold Masters (GMs) and Personality/Terminal Disks for release to Operations via Quality Control;
* Develops ATM software patches/updates in remotely deployable packages for delivery to Remote Content/ATM Admin teams via Quality Control;
* Development and maintenance of Postilion downloads/loadsets including technical liaison with terminal-driving switch vendors, when required;
* Development and maintenance of vendor-specific ATM software configurations for retail (Windows CE/Windows 7) and go-forwards (Windows 7/Windows 10) platforms;
* Support EMV and card scheme certifications (e.g. Visa, Mastercard);
* Integration of screen/receipt graphics, text, and language translations as provided by Product/Customer Experience colleagues;
* Integrate and verify RNIB-compliant voice guidance content for all ATM transaction flows;
* Deliver new terminal/module certifications;
* Work with Operations to review ATM Availability reports, identify common causes for reduced availability and implement solutions to resolve;
* Work with Global Network Services to monitor bandwidth utilization as it relates to ATM usage and identify solutions to minimise bandwidth consumption;
* Follows through Generic Work Requests to completion, as directed by ATM Solutions Manager;
* Present ATM-related updates to the Change Approval Board to enable the release of new GMs and Patches;
* Unit/Integration Testing of updates prior to handover to the Quality Control/Test Team.
* Acts as ATM Subject Matter expert on Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)-driven Projects and completes project tasks to deliver new technologies;
* Inputs to project delivery estimates as requested by ATM Solution Manager;
* Mentors ATM Solutions Engineers;
* Liaises with peers in other regions to share knowledge and expertise across the Global Team;
* Work with Information Security to support integration of security tools and policies into software stack;
* Follow ATM Solutions processes for ATM Software Certification to support industry certification and customer audits;
* Attend meetings with ATM Software Solution vendors to ensure that Cardtronics' technical requirements are understood and delivered upon;
* Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Mentoring and occasional deputization for ATM Solutions Manager.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:

* Undergraduate degree in Computer Science/Engineering and/or equivalent experience;
* 8+ years' experience in IT Management;
* 8+ years' experience in ATM software;
* Experience of managing Windows-based Desktop solutions;
* Experience in transaction processing platforms, especially Postilion;
* Experience in defining technical expectations, system requirements and effort estimations for projects;
* In depth knowledge of ATM technology infrastructure: including ATM Terminal Software, NDC, 912, Loadset Development, CEN/XFS, ATM Security, operation of ATM software platform management tools;
* Must be analytical, flexible, innovative, and self-motivated;
* Must be able to succeed in a dynamic team environment;
* Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
