Job Description

Duties:

* Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software;
* Plan, develop, test, and document computer programs and apply programming techniques and computer systems to evaluate user requests for new or modified applications;
* Formulate plans outlining steps required to develop applications using structured analysis and design in addition to preparing flowcharts and diagrams to convert project specifications into detailed instructions and logical steps for coding into languages processed by computers;
* Perform Software Development and implementation;
* Participate in complete software development life cycle - Analysis, Development, Integration;
* Follow agile methodology, an iterative development for the project and participate in code reviews;
* Develop the Business Logic and Common Utilities for complete application in Java and Multithreading;
* Develop high-performance code based on the design;
* Develop multiple jobs in java for data cleaning and preprocessing;
* Solve performance issues in Hive scripts;
* Participate in the design and development of Presentation Tier; and,
* Optimize the Hibernate mapping in order to boost performance of the system.

Requirements:

* Employer will accept Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a related occupation.
* Experience must include 1 year of experience with each of the following: Spring; Hadoop (Hive, HDFS, Impala Shell, Spark, Kite); Core Java, J2EE & Multithreading; Oracle; OOAD; Hibernate; Web Services; Log4j; Jenkins; Maven; SVN; Agile; UNIX & LINUX; UML; and, Java Design Patterns.
* Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
