The Data & Information Governance Senior Associate (Senior Associate) is involved in assisting BDO's clients to satisfy their data governance, privacy, data protection, Privacy by Design and Default, and responding to data subjects. The Senior Associate participates on data governance and privacy assessments and identifies and evaluates complex business and technology risks to mitigate risks, and provides for continuous improvement. This position also conducts and assesses detailed governance and compliance programs to translate them into business needs and develops assessment reports, including findings and recommendations.

Qualifications

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Governance or other relevant field, required
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Governance, or other relevant field, preferred

Experience:

* Two (2) or more years of consulting experience, required
* One (1) or more years of experience working on large, complex projects, preferred
* One (1) or more years of experience with project management and workflow software, preferred
* Process design experience, including Lean Six Sigma, preferred

License(s)/Certification(s):

* PMP, preferred
* CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, or other privacy certification, preferred
* CISSP, AHIMA, IGP or CRM, preferred
* Lean Six Sigma, preferred

Software:

* Applied knowledge of current privacy technologies for data mapping, cookie compliance, risk assessments, data subject rights, third party risk management, DPIA and/or consent documentation, required.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Office 365, OneDrive, SharePoint and Visio, required
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project or other similar software, required
* Knowledge of and experience with GRC, privacy, information governance, email archiving, or enterprise content management technologies, preferred

Language(s):

* Multilingual capabilities (read, speak and/or write), preferred

* Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels
* Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong analytical and research skills related to the retrieval and organization of high volumes of information
* Solid organizational skills
* Ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
* Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
* Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
