Senior Architect, Cloud - B2B Payments

Overview

As a Senior Cloud Architect on the Mastercard Track - B2B platform, you'll bring your deep expertise with modern software architecture designed for cloud-native services running on Azure. We're building a global B2B SaaS platform to help businesses of all sizes streamline how they manage payments when buying or selling products & services. As a global business, the systems you architect for Mastercard will operate at massive scale requiring focus on performance, security and reliability.

You will work in our Mastercard technology location in Arlington, VA that provides a state-of-the-art environment for technology teams to thrive in a collaborative, Agile engineering culture. You will be a key technical leader in how Mastercard transforms the B2B space using Azure cloud-native technologies.

Role:

* Drive the architecture for the platform using your deep expertise in cloud-native, microservices-based architectures using Azure.
* Ensure that your solutions use the 12-factor application design principles.
* Design and maintain technical blueprints and service descriptions for your solutions.
* Evaluate, create POCs, and advise on use of cloud-hosted and emerging cloud-native services.
* Perform system and code reviews to ensure teams are following your designs.
* Collaborate with development teams, architects, operations, and product owners.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
* Ensure that your solutions comply with Mastercard best practices and governance models including security, operations and Enterprise Architecture requirements.

All About You:

* You have an exceptional foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, web applications & services, and microservices-based software architecture.
* You have demonstrated experience architecting multiple solutions based on cloud-native technologies, ideally using Azure.
* You have experience with .NET and Java technology platforms including Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
* You have a deep understanding of web technologies including HTML5, CSS, Javascript, and front-end frameworks such as Angular.
* You have extensive experience designing and building back-end services using Java and C#.
