The ISD Shared Services Branch, Internet Development Division is seeking a developer for the Custom Application Development Section. The candidate will join a team that is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of web applications for a variety of County departments. We are seeking individuals with demonstrated experience and interest in working in an agile environment on multiple applications.

All interested permanent County employees that currently hold the Senior Application Developer classification, or who are eligible for administrative reassignment in accordance with Civil Service Rule 15, are invited to submit a letter of interest, a resume highlighting education and experience, and their last two years' performance evaluations and time records to:

Essential Job Functions

Works directly with team members and customers to create or enhance custom web applications using ASP.NET MVC and WebForms.

Design front-end user interfaces using HTML5, CSS and JavaScript and JQuery.

Design and implement databases in Microsoft SQL Server.

Perform application testing and validate implementation of customer requirements.

Participates in all aspects of the development lifecycle which includes; application design, develops, tests, deploys and documentations of progress and provides ongoing customer support to end users.

Additional Information

Desirable Qualifications:

* Highly motivated and responsive individual with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Server-side experience with ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET WebForms, C#, VB.NET
* Client-side experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, AJAX, JSON, Bootstrap
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to provide clear, concise verbal and written communications.
* Experience with developing technical documentation and interpretation of technical documentation.
* Experience with Visual Studio and Team Foundation.
* Experience with Entity Framework and other Object Relational Mappers.
* Experience with writing and consuming RESTful web services.
