The Special Projects and Initiatives Team in the ISD Customer Applications Branch is seeking a Senior Application Developer to support Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services cloud-based software development initiatives. The Senior Application Developer will take an active role in developing complex custom software solutions in a cloud-based environment while being a leading member in an Agile software development team.

Essential Job Functions

Codes, tests, and debugs complex cloud-based application programs to create new business applications and interfaces or maintains/modifies existing business applications according to program specifications.

Develops work plans and technical documents for cloud architecture, conversion, integration, testing, and implementation for new cloud-based applications or enhancements to an existing application.

Develops, configures, and leads application development projects using cloud-based Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions.

Develops specifications for complex systems; documents functional requirements, epics, features, user stories, and tasks.

Automates software deployment using source control management systems and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) environments.

Reviews solution designs, conducts code review of junior programmers, and provides feedback to the programming team.

Facilitates collaboration and coordinate development activities within an agile development environment.

Additional Information

Desirable Qualifications:

* Application development experience with C#, .NET Framework, Visual Studio.
* Web application development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MVC, ASP.NET.
* Cloud development experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure.
* Web service development experience with REST, JSON.
* Database development experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Stored Procedures using T-SQL.
* Version control systems experience with Git.
* Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
