In this position as Senior Advisor IT you will be working within the heart of the Vattenfall IT organization and reporting directly to Vattenfall CIO.

Vattenfall IT is a function with more than 1000 employees to provide reliable IT services to the different Business Areas in Vattenfall. IT consists of a wide range of core IT processes for all businesses Vattenfall works with, Agile Product Development, Strategy and Governance, Project and Transformation competence and Portfolio management with teams mainly in Sweden, Germany, Netherlands and Poland. Vattenfall IT manages the complete IT portfolio of the company and maintains high IT Service standards. We transform existing business towards new digital challenges and continuously develop towards a future proof IT landscape for Vattenfall.

Main Tasks

In this challenging and very important roll as Senior Advisor IT you will support the CIO-office in preparation of strategic decisions, designing concepts for future IT challenges, lead and coordinate initiatives across the IT organization and the different business areas of Vattenfall both on theoretical and managerial level.

Qualifications

* Strong educational background, or extensive work life experience, in computer science, civil engineering, finance/economics or similar with IT focus
* A successful track record in IT related business environment
* Successful management of large and complex IT transformations
* fluent English spoken and in writing. Fluency in Swedish, German or Dutch is meritorious

To be successful in this position you need:

* Strong credibility built through both business insight and personality
* Critical thinking and Problem solving skills: analysis of complex business problems, develop hypotheses and bring solutions to decision
* Leadership/Project management: Managing complex programs / projects on quality, time and cost
* Strong analytical and structural skills, and an ability to conclude, condense clear messages and to see "the big picture"
* Ability to work in large and complex organisations and to handle internal and external interfaces and stakeholders effectively on both national and international level
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Communication skills: presenting analysis and recommendations, facilitating workshops, and negotiating or influencing on significant matters.
