We are currently looking for an experienced, professional Security Specialist to join our team!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Individual will analyze and make applicable recommendations on requests for investigations concerning security clearances, requirements, violations, and assessments. Subjects of investigations range from on-board employees, contract/access applicants and other personnel requiring security clearances. Other duties include:

* Initiate or perform extensive checks in order to obtain the most complete and pertinent identifying information regarding subjects involved in each case, to include subjects acquaintances, associates, employers, and relatives
* Conduct Personnel Security Interviews (PSI) as determined during the course of the security investigation, in conjunction with information developed or per partner agency request
* Summarize data and compose necessary correspondence (set leads) to appropriate offices for initiation of investigation, outlining background of individual case, advising of information obtained from initial research and analysis, and defining security concerns. Issue leads and ensure that leads are adequately covered
* Prepare a detailed analysis of all information developed, provide supporting analysis and provide recommendations to initiate further investigation, and detail any additional security concerns based on this information, to include remedial or precautionary action to meet minimum security standards. Maintain responsibility for all relevant information and ensure that justification recommendations are developed and properly considered in accordance with security policies of the USG
* Conduct security briefings, which include Special Awareness Briefings and Hostile Threat Briefings; revise security briefings based on the specific issues developed and security requirements
* Receive, review, and critically analyze incoming material / correspondence outlining possible security concerns relating to complex security assessment issues in order to determine merit for recommending the granting, continuing, and / or revoking security clearance and access authorizations
* Initiate specific checks to obtain the most complete and pertinent identifying information on relevant subjects
* Provide documentation and reporting produced to the CSO or the CSOs designee

REQUIREMENTS

* Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
* College degree preferred; two (2) years of experience will be required for each year of college that are not completed in lieu of not having a degree
* Minimum of two (2) years of related US Government security office experience
