Bird is a last-mile electric vehicle sharing company dedicated to bringing safe, low-cost, environmentally-friendly transportation solutions to communities across the world. We provide a fleet of electric, shared scooters that can be accessed via smartphone. Bird is headquartered in Venice, California and is rapidly expanding across the country and the world.

Responsibilities:

* Work with engineering teams to design and build secure systems and networks
* Ensure security best practices are applied throughout our platform
* Develop and implement capabilities to detect intrusions and anomalies
* Work with developers to ensure that all critical systems and workflows have effective and appropriate security anomaly detection and response
* Conduct infrastructure security reviews and scans to identify security vulnerabilities before we launch new features
* Design and implement automated security tests that can help identify issuesInvestigate and handle security alerts, anomaly reports, and security incidents
* Configure and maintain systems to detect and prevent network intrusions and scan for vulnerabilities
* Work with huge amounts of data to detect and prevent attacks

Qualifications:

* BS degree in Computer Science or related STEM field
* 5+ years experience in relevant role
* Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure security vulnerabilities and attack vectors
* Deep understanding of AWS networking, VPC's, routing tables, S3, EC2
* Experienced with building tooling to collect and analyze data for security anomalies (eg. VPC Flow Logs, CloudTrail, etc)
* Experienced with at least one scripting language, ideally Python or Bash
* Strong understanding of security architecture and security designExperience with WAF systems
* Big data experience a plus
