The Role:

* Assist with day to day Security Operations (Threat Discovery, Vulnerability Assessment, System/Environment Hardening)
* Identify and respond to security issues by conducting continual monitoring, vulnerability assessments and log analysis
* Support security architecture and engineering efforts in a rapid scale environment
* Assist team effort to create, improve or automate processes and/or tools
* Develop a roadmap for future work, track progress against it, and help the team to achieve its goals

The Must Haves:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent years of experience
* 2-4 years of combined IT and security work experience including Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Testing, Digital Forensics & Incident Response, Patch Management and other Security Operations tasks
* Team-oriented interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles (IT and business personnel)
* Experience in automation (Salt, Puppet) and scripting skills (Bash, Perl, Python, Ruby, PHP)
* Strong verbal & written communication skills
* Ability to quickly understand security threats, vulnerabilities, and implement remediation techniques

The Nice-to-Haves:

* Experience working in a Startup environment
* Past experience with Static Code Analysis / Source Code Analysis
* Practical knowledge of the latest web application security issues and security trends
* Cloud Security knowledge of AWS and Google Cloud
* CISSP, OSCP, OSCE and GIAC certifications desired
* Proactive, organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and persistent
