Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented Security Automation Engineer to join the growing security organization at Danaher Corporation. The successful candidate will deliver integration and automation solutions to provide an orchestration fabric that force-multiplies our individual security resources. This position plays a valuable role in delivering security from the ground-up for our companies worldwide. Reporting to the Director, Cyber Security Architecture, this technical role will focus on integrating, automating and monitoring shared security services.

Responsibilities:

* Drive the technical adoption and continued evolution of automation in the information security space
* Provide technical ownership of a large and complex security automation platform deployment for over 30 global organizations
* Integrate technologies and services using API's and development practices in Python, JavaScript, shell scripting, PowerShell, regular expressions, or other programming languages
* Work with other members of the Danaher Information Security team to enhance security threat detection and response functions
* Continuously identify enhancements to existing security controls and implement action plans to improve security posture
* Work hands-on in designing, deploying and maintaining technical security solutions
* Work in collaboration with third party vendors and partners to ensure consistent operations
* Strong understanding of secure systems and network architecture design
* Broad familiarity with security technologies that provide discovery, assessment, detection, analysis, and response services
* Familiarity with Demisto or equivalent security automation technologies
* Hands-on programming experience in Python, Java, Django, and API development/integration
* Firsthand experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment systems including: Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins, Maven
* Strong knowledge of secure coding practices and hardening practices
* Ability to develop and integrate security tools through custom development and API integrations
* At least 3 years combined experience with security engineering and programming/scripting
* Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a team
* Track record for working as an individual contributor and as a member of a matrixed team
* Familiarity with Splunk SPL and Enterprise Security preferred
