Position Title: - SD Lead Project Manager -Fiber-6E

Position Summary

The Lead Project Manager will oversee multiple service delivery projects from sales order initiation to customer project completion. The Lead Project Manager will manage the operational and tactical aspects of the delivery to ensure that the customer's initiatives are completed on time and within specifications

Essential Job Functions

* Coordinate and lead customer meetings including kick-off and status update calls.
* Manage the activities of internal operations and engineering groups to ensure proper planning, communications and implementation of solutions.
* Ability to understand and engage in project design discussions and be able to communicate the details of these projects at both technical and non-technical levels
* Communicate customer requirements to other cross-functional technical teams and project stakeholders to achieve project results.
* Be responsible for the overall budget of projects validating that the quoted budget will support the project and managing potential risks that could have the project run over budget.
* Communicate project status including dependencies to customer in order to set and meet expectations.
* Develop a relationship with the client and serve as primary point of contact for any discussions regarding the project status and deliverables with the customer as well as with Crown Castle Fiber management.
* Perform critical path analysis for projects to calculate, identify and manage aspects of the deployment and mitigate risk.
* Ability to produce and interpret complex network designs
* Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
* Provide guidance and support to team members who need assistance resolving issues related to installations to ensure delivery milestones complete.
* Assume management responsibilities when needed as a designee.
* Effectively communicates customer escalations to management and contribute to resolution
* Develop and coach SD PMs, SD ASSOC PMs, and/or PM Coordinators on matters of process, systems, etc. Identify training gaps and create a career path for team members.

Education/Certifications

* Bachelor's Degree, Industry specific certifications, or relevant work experience

Experience/Minimum Requirements

* (10+) years of previous Telecommunications/Service Delivery experience
* Thorough understanding of project management fundamentals including requirement definition, resource scheduling, risk mitigation and change management.
* Understanding of Ethernet and managed services
* Understanding of Dark Fiber network deployments
* Demonstrated ability to create and execute a fully detailed project plan
* Strong working knowledge with the Microsoft Office portfolio
* Proficiency with working in Microsoft CRM (or the like), OSP Insight, Netcraker

* Must demonstrate experience in managing multiple vendors, resources, to deliver time-sensitive projects.
* Must demonstrate experience in customer relationship management and possess the ability to adapt project management approach to satisfy customer's needs.

Working Conditions: Works in a normal office setting with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions 90% of the time. Required travel to project sites with exposure to heavy equipment and environmental conditions less than 10% of the time
