As a Scrum Master you will be a pragmatic servant-leader who ensures the delivery of highest value to our business stakeholders. You will coach one or more teams, help them self-organize, feel empowered, and succeed in honouring their commitments. You will help engender an environment of collaboration, courageous risk-taking and transparent conversations that lead to awesome team chemistry, and ultimately, to happy clients.

Responsibilities

What you will do

* Coach and mentor cross-functional teams on agile values, principles, methods and practices.
* Organize and facilitate daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives and sprint/release planning meetings.
* Remove impediments and/or guide the team to remove impediments by engaging the right business or IT stakeholders.
* Build a trusting and safe environment where issues can be raised candidly and honestly with an emphasis on problem solving and continuous improvement.
* Facilitate getting the work done by influencing teams toward a practice of self-organization and self-management.
* Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating information.
* Work with the Agile Office to assess the Agile Maturity of the team, and help achieve higher levels of transformation at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team.
* Support and educate the Product Owner, especially in prioritizing, maintaining and refining the product backlog.

Your key skill lies in coaching and mentoring teams towards higher efficiency and delivering maximum value to the organization. Therefore, as a Scrum Master you will ensure that teams adhere to agile principles and best-practices, improve processes by continuously inspecting and adapting, and build relevant and durable solutions. You will collaborate with other Scrum Masters and the Agile Office to identify key challenges and areas of improvement. Ready to deal with a diverse group of technologists and business stakeholders, you'll be energetic, well versed, resourceful and, above all, an agent for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

What you will bring

* First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) or willingness to pursue.
* Experience acting as a Scrum Master for one or more software development teams, diligently applying agile principles, theory and practices.
* Deep understanding of multiple agile methodologies: XP, Scrum, Kanban and Scrumban.
* Strong skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, and continuous improvement.
* Ability to mentor other Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and all members of cross-functional agile teams.
* Strong facilitation skills with the ability to understand organizational challenges, and willingness to work with leadership to resolve key impediments.
* Hands-on experience with JIRA (or similar agile backlog/task management software).
