Summary:

The Scrum Master is responsible for building high-performing Agile portfolio releases by providing servant leadership to multiple custom software application teams. The Scrum Master will coordinate with teams and stakeholders to define the scope of overall release increments and act as a single voice on software releases to assure alignment to mission goals and objectives. The Scrum Master support portfolio execution; escalate impediments; manage risk and program board with dependencies; and help drive continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, refinement, sprint review, retrospectives, and other related team and intra-team meetings
* Participate in sprint demonstrations and Scrum of Scrums
* Maintain and generate information radiators for the team
* Collect and share team metrics with the team, suggest new metrics, and drive improvement using metrics
* Ensure the goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the team
* Ensure the technical team has a clear understanding of Definition of Done
* Drive stories to Ready state in preparation for the next quarter and upcoming sprint
* Prepare for and facilitate regular releases and spring planning with the product owner and the team
* Work with the team and Product Owner/Manager to maintain a healthy backlog and plan upcoming releases and assist with drafting acceptance criteria
* Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required
* Equivalent extensive relevant work experience may be used in lieu of degree
* 10 years of relevant technical/analytical experience
* 5 years of experience applying Scrum and growing Agile teams as a fulltime Scrum Master
* Experience affecting change in organizations and working towards agile adoption
* Experience working in multi-disciplinary development teams
* Experience in a technical role in any part of the software development lifecycle- as a developer, tester, analyst, etc.
* Certified SAFe Agile Scrum Master or similar agile project management certification
* TS/SCI Clearance required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
* Manage time extremely well, can quickly sense when an issue needs to be discussed or triaged
* Strong attention to detail and focus on task completion is critical

* The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
* During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
