About the job:

The candidate will be part of a talented agile team working to support our business partners in a variety of functional areas in the UW and Policy Servicing to support global business and product segments within Global Risk Solutions. The candidate will work with a variety of product owners to assist in working with global stakeholders to deliver business value. We support a variety of platforms, so this resource will be supporting various technologies and applications. Working collaboratively with stakeholders, excellent communication and negotiating skills with various customers, strong ability to build relationships with various scrum teams and lead the team in partnership with the product owner.

Responsibilities:

* Guides the scrum team on organization on how to use scrum and Agile practices and methodology.
* Facilitates transparency, inspection, and adaption.
* Lead daily scrums, sprint reviews, and planning meetings to ensure full team engagement. Manages interdependencies between agile teams.
* Works with the Product Owners to support short and long-term release planning, and to keep work backlog healthy and prepared for execution.
* Shields the teams from external interference to enable optimal functionality and productivity.
* Anticipates and addresses potential or actual impediments to team delivery (cultural barriers, logistic challenges).
* Fosters close cooperation across all team members; encourages cross-training and team support
* Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems may be raised without fear of reprisal.
* Administers metrics tracking and other duties on behalf of the team

Desired skills:

* Knowledge of software development and relevant domains/products/journeys typically acquired through a Bachelor`s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline and a minimum of 4 years' experience in Agile software development including coaching on agile methodologies.


* Extensive knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, architectures and technical standards. Ability to coach team and stakeholders on Agile practices and ensure adherence to Agile methodology. Able to resolve conflicts; strong mediation skills.


* Strong communication skills, to deliver complex messages and teach new concepts. Strong problem solver with ability to coach and mentor a team to maximize progress and potential.
