Job Description

Schrödinger is looking for an exceptionally talented scientific software developer to join our New York-based development team. Our team's mission is to facilitate breakthroughs in computer-aided chemical discovery by delivering methods with unprecedented levels of accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of software development fundamentals and test-driven development experience, along with a scientific background in computational Chemistry, Biology or Physics. Previous experience in professional software development is not required, but an interest in adopting best engineering practices is.

Required qualifications include:

* Capable of writing clear, highly organized, and maintainable code

Intermediate-level knowledge of the Python programming language

* Masters or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or related fields

Desirable qualifications include:

* Experience writing object-oriented code
* Experience with C/C++ development
* Experience applying molecular simulation and QM methods in model validation
* Experience modeling small molecules and proteins
